    Asyl Presse12

    Genre : Rock, Post-Punk

    Biography :
Raised by the garage rock, the punk and the new wave, the band quickly goes towards the composition and moves on wild shows, tapes and demos. In 2002, they release a self-produced demo that pleased the professional circle. But it's on the stage that the band makes everyone agreed, from Zénith of Paris to the Sangria of Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule. They go everywhere, from the Bar des Artistes to the Flèche d'Or, from Saint-Hyppolyte to Dompierre-sur-Charente, from Rodez to Rock en Seine. Asyl participates to the Printemps de Bourges 2003, and next year plays in the FAIR and in opening of Francofolies in La Rochelle. Shows increase until the release of their first EP under the Because Music label. Azyl appears then in many festivals (festival Le Bruit De Melun, Rock en Seine 2005…). They made the first of Indochine and the Stranglers, when they played in France. But also, Dionysos, Blink-182 (in Zénith of Paris), The Rakes and Supergrass. A second EP is released in beginning 2006, followed by an album produces by Andy Gill, former guitarist of Gang of Four. Asyl begins becoming famous and wins a new show in the Francofolies in July 2006. Bernard Chérèze, manager of the Play List of France Inter, compares Asyl's energy with Téléphone's one in the beginning of their career.
